Design - Detailing

By exclusively participating with our three (3) affiliated companies for all interior trade and specialty, under guidelines from the architect and interior designer, we will review drawings and as needed provide details required for the upcoming quality and competitive bidding.

We will also coordinate the scope of work, inclusions and exclusions between trades and specialties to insure the possibility of the unexpected loss of quality and costly surprises. For example: attaching woodworking members (approx. 3”W x 24”H) with a transparent finish between the painted soffit walls, usually performed after framing and dry wall completion, then the woodworking contractor will remeasure, build and install them. Unfortunately, by doing so, there will be gaps, up to 1/8” at least, between members with transperent finish and the painted soffit that will be required to be caulked and paint touch up. With the help of our services, we will coordinate work between trades (especially when they all our affiliated companies) and insure that there will be no sloppy work with gaps in caulking. We will also coordinate details of the painting and transparent finishes to insure the excellence of the work quality and without extra cost.

When designing doors and windows with casing and details, we will insure the proper balances, sizes and details required for the upcoming decorative doors and window treatments.

At the project at 92 Bell Pasture in Ladera Ranch, if we hadn’t verified the sizes and positioning of the appliances around the kitchen, the refrigerator would have been furred out over the soffit line to the dining room area; in addition, this would not allow proper completion and the continuation of the crown molding system. With our hellp, the shaft elevator wall was readjusted prior to a major problem.

At the 68 Fox Road project in Ladera Ranch, for an Arts and Craft home style, after two months in design stages, six field measurements, and four trips to Russia to train and manage engineered and working personnel, we invented 4,300 sq.ft. of the wood floor design. It completed the rchitectural and design style, giving a new warm and cozy appearance. It can be reviewed in the Portfolio section.
